AI Disclaimer

• AI symptom check — a conversational tool in our app that helps pet parents understand what they are observing in their pet and consider whether a veterinary visit may be warranted.
• Content generation — we may use AI internally to help draft educational content, improve search, or summarize records. Any AI-generated content we publish is reviewed by a human before release.

AI-generated output is informational only and is not veterinary, medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice. It is not a substitute for consultation with a licensed veterinarian. No AI feature in the Services forms a doctor–patient relationship, issues prescriptions, or makes clinical decisions.

If your pet is in distress, showing signs of a medical emergency, or has ingested something potentially toxic, contact a veterinarian or emergency veterinary clinic immediately. Do not wait for, or rely on, AI output in an urgent situation.

AI systems — including the ones Animedic uses — can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or outdated results. They can miss important context, misunderstand nuance, and sometimes "hallucinate" facts that are not true. We work to reduce these failure modes, but we cannot guarantee that any particular AI output is correct, safe, or suitable for your specific situation.

AI output is a starting point, not a verdict. Always verify important information with a qualified professional before acting on it.

Inputs you provide to AI features may be processed by Animedic and by our service providers (for example, model hosting providers) to produce a response. We minimize what is sent, use providers that contractually agree not to train general-purpose models on your inputs, and keep sensitive information out of AI features by default. More detail about data handling is in our Privacy Policy.

Animedic does not use AI to make consequential decisions about you without a human in the loop. We do not use AI to profile you or make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without the ability for you to request human review.

• Use AI features as one tool among many. When something is off with your pet, seek in-person professional care.
• Do not enter information about third parties, children, or others without their permission.
• Do not attempt to misuse AI features — for example, by trying to extract training data, jailbreak the model, or produce disallowed content.
• Report inaccurate, harmful, or unsafe AI output to us so we can improve the system.
