Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Animedic LLC ("Animedic," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit animedic.app (the "Site") or interact with the forms and features we make available there. It also explains the rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.

We are a Utah limited liability company based in Saint George, Utah. Contacting us, asking a question, or joining a waitlist is entirely optional — you can browse the Site without providing any personal information.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you use the Site, including:

  • Waitlist sign-ups — your email address and the page you signed up from.
  • Vet early-access requests — your name, work email, clinic/practice name, role, and optionally the number of veterinarians at your practice.
  • Contact form submissions — your name, email, selected topic, and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and device information — IP address, user-agent string, approximate region, and timestamps, collected by our hosting and rate-limiting providers to protect the Site against abuse.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — only strictly-necessary cookies are set by default. Preference cookies (your theme and audience choice) and analytics cookies are used only if you opt in via the cookie banner. See our Cookie Policy.

Information we do not collect on this Site

The marketing website does not collect veterinary medical records, pet health history, or information about third parties. Those data types are relevant only to our future applications and will be governed by a separate in-product privacy notice at that time.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the Site and respond to you — for example, to add your email to a waitlist or to reply to a contact form submission.
  • To notify you about product launches, beta access, and material updates that you signed up for.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site, including rate-limiting, fraud prevention, and debugging.
  • To comply with our legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and defend our rights where necessary.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the information you give us for third-party advertising or profiling, and we do not "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

3. Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — when you opt in to optional cookies or waitlist emails.
  • Legitimate interests — operating and securing the Site, responding to inquiries, and preventing abuse. You may object to this processing at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where processing is required by applicable law.

4. How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, and only to the extent necessary to provide the Site. Current processors include:

  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and content delivery.
  • Supabase Inc. — database storage for waitlist and contact submissions.
  • Upstash Inc. — ephemeral rate-limiting records (IP-level counters, short-lived).

We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition, or asset sale), in which case any successor will be bound by this Policy.

5. International data transfers

Our processors store and process information in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Data retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Waitlist records are kept until you request removal or until we retire the waitlist. Contact submissions are kept for up to 24 months. Log data is typically retained for 30 to 90 days for security purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. This includes rights provided by the GDPR/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), and similar laws. To exercise a right, please use our contact page. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents: you have a right to know, delete, correct, limit the use of sensitive personal information, and opt out of "selling" or "sharing" (neither of which we do). You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, encryption in transit and at rest for stored records, and strict server-side access controls so that personal information submitted through the Site is not readable by the public browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.

9. Children (under 13)

The Site is not directed to, intended for, or designed for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us via the contact page.

10. Third-party links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice on the Site.
